Harmonie Dining RoomIn February 2010 VisualSound did another installation for one of the University of Stellenbosch’s hostels. This time the hostel was Harmonie Ladies Hostel. They contacted Visual Sound late last year for a quotation on a sound system for their cafeteria.

The requirements were simple: small and efficient, but with good quality sound, and being a ladies hostel, aesthetics played a role. VisualSound was quick to comply with these requirements and the job was done in no time at all, 4 hours to be precise.

DSPPA MP600 amplifier
VisualSound’s solution was the Quad Industrial Q5t speakers, with the DSPPA MP600 amplifier, and the Gemini CDJ-203 CD player with remote.

Quad Industrial Q5t speakersThe important thing we had to keep in mind here was the aesthetics, so we decided on white speakers. The Q5t’s are very small, compared to your everyday concert speakers, which added to the good looks.

The one thing that VisualSound always strives to is to give good QUALITY of sound, rather than quantity, and this job was no different. We placed four Q5t’s in their cafeteria, so as to give a good quality all-round sound. They may be small, but powered by the MP600 amplifier, they give killer quality sound, compared easily to speakers in a higher price range.

Visual Sound has, once again, catered to the customer’s every need, and small, simple and efficient has never sounded so BIG.
